Revenue generated from research and reproduction services covers PAHRC’s operating costs, thus assisting in the preservation, management, and maintenance of its collections. All hourly requests as well as requests for digital imaging, other reproduction services, and the intended use of reproductions must be made in writing, via email, fax, or letter. Prepayment is required for all services and reproduction orders.

RESEARCH SERVICES:

Genealogical Research: $25.00 for the first hour. $15.00 each additional hour

Hourly rates include the cost of postage and copies.

General Research: $25.00 for up to one hour. This includes the cost of up to 10 photocopies and postage.  Extra charges will be applied for additional hours and/or copies.

General Research Requests requiring more than 3 hours of research cannot be performed by the PAHRC staff.

PHOTOCOPYING/PHOTOGRAPHIC REPRODUCTION SERVICES:

A reproduction is sold for personal, reference, non-profit, and commercial use only and may not be copied or reproduced beyond its one-time requested usage. PAHRC reserves the right to refuse any reproduction request. All responsibility for possible copyright infringement, invasion of privacy, and the rights of publicity from the use of reproductions is assumed by the patron. PAHRC retains all rights to the digital reproduction / the digital image of the original.

Digital images: $5.00 per image up to 5 images if the scans are emailed. There is an added charge of $10.00 if a CD is required.
If more than 5 images are requested, another payment scale including an hourly charge will be applied.

Photocopies made by researchers in house:
.20 cents for letter size (.40 doublesided)
.25 cents for legal size (.50 doublesided)
.35 cents for 11″ x 17″ (.60 doublesided)

Photographic Prints: In-House Reproduction: $25.00 per print.
Outside Reproduction: $25.00 per print plus the cost of reproduction.
If outside reproduction requires a negative to be made, PAHRC retains the negative.

Appraisals:

PAHRC is unable to offer monetary appraisals of manuscripts, books and artifacts. A list of appraisers is available through the Appraisers Association of America, or refer to your local Yellow Pages.
